Week 4 - Framing, Trusses, & Roofing
Posted on Monday, September 24th, 2007The fourth week of building the Oakbrook Church was spent building the second-story walls, setting the remaining roof trusses, and sheathing the sanctuary roof. The photos below show the church at the end of the weekend. As you can see, much progress has been made over the last 4 weeks, but there is still a lot to do before the cold weather sets in. This weekend, we need to finish off the roof sheathing along with several other tasks. Here is the short list of this week’s work:
Finish sheeting of roof
Complete fascia and sheeting of all roof systems
Complete entry framing and roofing
Complete enclosure of building
Complete all interior walls and miscellaneous framing
Start construction of light coves
