Our Vision

“Oakbrook exists to honor God by building a loving community that obeys Christ to reach our community that desperately needs Him. ”

The campaign theme “Making Room To Make Disciples” centralizes around Oakbrook’s vision and mission statement. This project is not just about building a physical church, it’s about reaching out to the lost in Oshkosh, and helping them to find Christ, furthering His Kingdom for eternity.

“Making Room To Make Disciples” campaign and project is almost complete. We are turning our focus from building a building to making a different in our community and the world.

Here is a brief explanation of what our focus has been in building our first church building.  Some of you may be thinking, “Making room to make what?” …To make disciples, but what is a disciple?

A disciple is one who is continuing to trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins and who desires to live in obedience to Him. We are commanded as brothers and sisters in Christ to go and make disciples. Some will respond because the Holy Spirit is pulling them and others will refuse because they want to live their own life.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matt. 28:19-20
